Happy Book-versary today to Broken Soldier! When I wrote this I was quite nervous about publishing it, since it was very, very different from any other book I’d written. It was my first book with an already established couple and quite dark and serious in tone, dealing with extreme measures taken in an undercover, special ops mission resulting in a forced drug addiction and subsequent recovery. Well, I needn’t have worried, because Broken Soldier is still to this day, my best-selling book!
It even spawned an entire Shadow Unit series, with three other novels (Rogue Solider, Hunted Soldier, Dying Soldier) and a Christmas short story (Snowbound Soldiers). Plus three of the four books are individual award winners, along with the entire series.
