In Loving Memory of Author A.C. Katt

 

Divine Promotions was sad to hear of the passing of Mary Lynn Hansel aka A.C. Katt. As both a friend and a wonderful author, she will be sadly missed. We decided we wanted to do one last tribute to her memory so we are doing this tour to honor her and the stories she wrote.

Now all Armand has to do is claim his mate and keep him safe from the murderer.

To his delight and surprise the boy on the phone delivers his food and is his destined mate. Unfortunately for Marc, Colin Callahan thinks that the only reason Marc could want him is biological, he has to like his mate. Colin has a scarred face and thinks no-one could love him as he is. It's up to Marc to convince him differently.

Richard relocates to Manhattan to begin his new job and stays with Julien Bellaire, his mentor, who is also Richard's Mate. Before they can settle in, the Serbian mobster turns up dead and a corrupt cop who secretly works for the Serbians comes to New York with trumped up charges to pin the murder on Julio. With over eighty witnesses to Julio being on an airplane at the time of the murder, the cop abandons trying to frame Richard and instead plots to murder him. The loup garou request assistance from the Italian mob to protect Richard which comes with some interesting consequences.

Henri and Etienne sat in Henri’s study. Etienne got up and poured Henri some cognac. “The burn should calm your nerves even if you can’t get drunk.”
“He’s been through so much in such a short time. If I could, I’d postpone the mating to give him time to adjust. Your Mates had days, if not weeks. Vitas had to accept me in hours.” Henri paced.

“If you tried to postpone the mating, not only could Chernof move in, Vitas could get it in his head that you don’t want him,” Etienne pointed out.

“Of course, I want him. He’s my Mate,” Henri said with belligerence.

Etienne patted Henri on the back. “Then go up and claim him.”

At eleven fifty-five, Henri walked up the stairs and knocked on the door to his suite. Regis and Mathieu stood on either side of the door. Sean opened the door a crack. Henri felt a sense of déjà vu. “May I come in?”

“He’s ready, a little frightened but definitely ready.” The Mates filed out of the room, and Regis and Mathieu continued to stand guard. Henri slipped inside and set a white pharmacy bag on the nightstand. Vitas sat on the edge of the bed with his nose scrunched up.

“Little one, are you ready for me?” Henri asked softly.

“Yes, I’m ready.” Vitas’ whole body trembled.

Henri sat down next to him and held his hand. “What’s your favorite thing to drink?”

“Hot cocoa,” Vitas said without thinking, then blushed. “You must think I’m a baby.”

Henri went to the door and said to Mathieu, “Get the Alpha Mate some hot cocoa with lots of whipped cream.”

Vitas’ face lit up. “How did you know I liked whipped cream?”

“You’ve been mine to care for since the first turn of the great wheel and will be until the last, little one. I know what you like and what you love. I know that you love me so deep inside your heart that I’ll fight Chernof, even The Alpha himself, for you until you realize it, too.”

“I do love you. I’m just a little scared.” A knock came at the door.

Henri strode over and partially opened it, taking the mug with a large mound of whipped cream. Vitas took a sip and got some of the cream on the end of his nose.

“Now you know the reason I asked for whipped cream. So, I could lick it from the tip of your nose.” Henri chuckled.

Vitas giggled, drinking his rest of his cocoa, and suddenly his face was serene. Vitas had a chocolate mustache, and Henri ran his tongue over Vitas’ mouth, licking it clean. Vitas put down his cocoa and threw his arms around his Mate. “I was afraid you wouldn’t want me, that I was too much trouble.”

“Never will you be too much trouble. I would fight the whole council for you. I love you, my Mate.”
Vitas snuggled into Henri’s arms. “I knew I belonged to you the first day I met you when I put my arms around your waist. Let’s do what we’re supposed to do, and then we’ll have the rest of our lives to get to know each other again.”
