Blog tour: Painted on My Heart by Kindle Alexander

Title: Painted On My Heart
Author: Kindle Alexander
Genre: M/M Romance
Release Date: January 2, 2017
Artist Kellus Hardin let love and loyalty cloud his past decisions, a mistake he definitely won’t make again. Now, lost and alone, he’s left to pick up the shattered pieces of his broken heart while facing the truth of his reality.
Arik Layne exudes power, confidence, and determination. But when an encounter with the guarded artist shakes him to the core and alters all his future goals, he finds more than just his heart on the line.
For Kellus, opening himself to love isn’t an option.
All Arik wants is to make the artist his.
Can love create a masterpiece when it’s painted on your heart?

One. Incredible. Read.

Two men on opposite sides of the social ladder meet. One loaded with baggage, the other in, as Sheriff Buford T. Justice in the Smokey and the Bandit movies, 'hot pursuit'. One's holding a serious secret which causes him to put up thick walls.

Ms. Alexander brilliantly portrays the emotional roller coaster Kellan, a brilliant artist, deals with on a daily basis, intensified by Arik's relentless pursuit. I can't help but wonder how many people would share Arik's reaction to the life-changing secret Kellan finally reveals. I know I would.

I also like how characters from one of her other series are mentioned in this story. I won't mention any names, but their initials are C. M. & J. M. From her N. G. series.

*spoiler alert* One of the things I REALLY like is that the portrayal of their relationship is much more realistic in that it's not all lovey-dovey. They fight like any other couple does, and their fights are included in the story.

I've seen similar plots in other books written by Ms. Alexander, so I kinda new what to expect and how the book would end. This, however, did not affect my enjoyment of Painted On My Heart.

Definitely 5 out of 5 stars!
