What an incredible story.

Almost everyone has heard about how bad biker gangs are, violent, always looking for a fight or to steal something.

How many of you have heard about all the good these biker gangs do, like protect people and places.

How about their regular poker runs? For those who don't know what a poker run is, it's an event where riders go from place to place (5 to 7 places) and draw a card. Whoever has the best poker hand at the end wins. Poker runs raise money for various charities.

They also share a kinship with each other and watch each other's backs.

This is the basic premise behind Hear Me Out. One of the main characters, Maddox Lawson, A.K.A. Beast, has lost his hearing and is convinced his life with the Hawks Motorcycle Club has come to an end, so he keeps quiet and to himself. Can't say as I blame him. Members of a motorcycle club are closer than family. Who would want to lose that?

Enter Jay 'Knife' Conger, the man that Beast has been in love with for a very long time. Knife finds himself more and more drawn to Beast, and it totally confuses him.

Both characters are extremely real, as is the story.

Hear Me Out is both a heart-wrenching and heart-warming page-turner that DEFINITELY deserves to be on everyone's bookshelf, Kindle, Nook Sony eReader, tablet or what-have-you.

I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could, but I have to settle for 5.

My recommendation:  read it. You won't be sorry you did!

Hello everyone! My name is Christa Tomlinson and I’m here showing a little love for one of my older titles. Bad Boys Need Love Too was the second full length novel I completed. It tells the story of Gage Mason, a motorcycle mechanic and Joseph Naderi an up and coming lawyer. Bad Boys Need Love Too is an opposites attract erotic romance. Gage is blue collar with grease under his fingernails, while Joseph wears nice suits and comes from a good family. But these two men need in each other in ways neither of them expected. I got the inspiration for this story as I was on a plane ride back to Texas. I had my headphones on and was doodling in my notebook, waiting for plot bunnies to hop by so I could catch one. Then Bad Boyfriend by Garbage came up on my playlist. As I listened, I envisioned a tough bad boy on the back of a motorcycle. He was quick tempered but charming. Rough around the edges, but naturally smart and caring to those he counted as family. I knew I had to write Gage’s story. And I knew I had to give him a partner who was sweet and could soothe his rough edges. That’s where Joseph came in. But Joseph isn’t a doormat martyr. He gives Gage what he needs, even if it’s not always what he wants. And Joseph has some things to work through on his own. It was a blast writing this story. Bad Boys Need Love Too is full of angst, drama and lots of sex. As I was writing, I listened to songs from Garbage, Joan Jett and Peaches to get me in the right head space. The influence from those songs was perfect, and helped me create the exact world I’d imagined on that plane ride. I hope you’ll give Gage and Joseph’s love story a try. Gage settled down at the metal desk in his office to review invoices for parts orders. Again Joseph shook his head slowly. "Not usually." Gage gripped the bike's throttle, watching as Joseph’s gaze dropped to his hand. He squeezed the throttle once and saw Joseph’s throat working as he swallowed. "Tell me why you're really here, Joseph." Sea green eyes rose to look into his. They were so expressive that Gage could easily read his nervousness. Gage smiled again. "I already know but I want to hear you say it."

I LOVE this story! I really enjoy opposites-attract stories, and they don't come any different than Gage, the motorcycle mechanic and Joseph, the hot-shot lawyer.

As much as they initially try to ignore the mutual attraction, they can't deny the sparks that fly when they go out on a date. Then another one, and another one.

Ms. Tomlinson paints an awesome picture of two men who are polar opposites of each other. The character development is not rushed and it makes them very realistic.

The story proceeds at a steady pace, one that readers will have no problems following.

Bad Boys Need Love Too is a definite page turner and would make a great TV movie of the week.

I would love to say more, but that would require me giving out spoilers. I give it a 5 out of 5 and recommend everyone put it on their 'must read' list.

“You got another letter,” Stefan snapped, and threw it at Gabriel, where it bounced against his naked belly and fell to the floor. He didn’t make a move to pick it up, not until Stefan had left. Fucking letters and the ache they caused. Stefan had opened it, the tear jagged, and Gabriel could imagine the temper that Stefan must have felt when he ripped it open. He didn’t blame Stefan; who wanted Gabriel’s past to intrude into what they had now?

He finally picked up the envelope and slipped quietly into his room, closing the door. He didn’t lock it—last time he’d done that, Stefan had broken the door, told him a story about a time when he hadn’t been able to get into a room and that it scared him. That he was thinking about Gabriel.

The letter wasn’t long. They never were.

Legacy Ranch appeared at the top of the paper, in strong, determined capitals. Whoever this Kyle guy was, he had neat, considered handwriting. Gabriel scanned the letter and closed his eyes, waiting for the door to open.

And just like clockwork, Stefan pushed into the room, salve in one hand and a sandwich on a plate in the other, coffee perched precariously on the side.

“I made you some food,” Stefan said, and sat on the bed, causing Gabriel to shift toward him. Gabriel didn’t move away—he didn’t want to upset Stefan.

“Thank you,” Gabriel murmured.

“What did the letter say?”

That was normal. As if it was a test, even though Stefan had already read it. The first time Gabriel had said something wrong, Stefan had looked so damn disappointed. All he’d said was that he loved Gabriel but he didn’t like a liar. He hadn’t needed to say anything else, but the bruises had taken a long time to heal when he’d finished being disappointed with Gabriel.

“They have this horse, Mistry. Apparently it’s still not been claimed.”

“Anything else, Angel?”

Stefan’s use of that nickname was a switch inside Gabriel that made him tense.

“The usual things—that they want to help me and when I’m ready they’ll be there.”

Stefan reached out, and Gabriel schooled his features so he didn’t wince. Stefan cradled Gabriel’s face, and his grip was firm.

“You know what will happen if you go back to that kind of life, my sweet, innocent Angel. You know they’ll hurt you. You don’t need help. You have me. I look after you.”

“I know.” Gabriel knew the right answers to give now. He’d once hoped that the world this Kyle guy wrote about would have a place for him, but that wasn’t an option for someone like Gabriel.

“I look after you, Angel,” Stefan said, and pressed the softest of kisses to Gabriel’s lips. “Now get some sleep. I canceled your two appointments for tomorrow. You need to eat your food, get your chocolate and sleep.”

“Okay.”

Stefan helped Gabriel get settled in the soft nest of pillows, and brushed Gabriel’s short hair.

“This will grow back,” he said.

Gabriel placed a hand on Stefan’s arm. “They held my head, Stefan.” He wanted to say more about what they’d done, but he didn’t have to—Stefan wouldn’t want to hear the details.

“It will grow back,” Stefan repeated, then patted Gabriel’s head. “’Night.”

Grandma Helen’s Rhubarb Crumble
Preheat oven to 350 For crust: 1 1/2 cup oats 1 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour 
1 cup shortening (I use coconut oil)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda Combine until crumbly then pat half of mixture into 13×9 pan For filling: 5 cups rhubarb 1/2 cup sugar 3 Tablespoons cornstarch 1/4 cup water Combine in a pan and cook until clear then add 1 teaspoon vanilla Pour over crust and sprinkle the other half of the crumbly crust on top. Bake 20 to 25 min
