With the denizens of Hell on their heels, Saul and Tom must fight to stay one step ahead, knowing that if they’re caught there’s only one direction they’re headed: down.

Souls For Sale Excerpt

BY HELL, IT’S you! Do you have any idea how close you just came to a fiery death? Not sure how you found me, but since you’re here, I guess you’d better come in. Quickly, quickly. And shut the door behind you. Sorry for the abrupt greeting… actually, no, I’m not. If you had any idea what the sweet boy and I have been through these past few months you’d know better than to sneak up on us. It’s not easy being on the run. Sure, it looks exciting in all the films—action, adventure, amorous assignations—but I can tell you now that’s all a crock of shit. Well, maybe not the amorous assignations—we do have our fair share of those and no denying it—but the rest of it…. In reality, a life on the run is tiring, dirty, and not the least bit soppily romantic—the boy and I are no Bonnie and Clyde. And perhaps we should be grateful for that.

We’ve been holed up in this nondescript—or do I mean derelict?—hotel for three days now, and neither of us has set so much as a single foot outside since we checked in. We order takeaway or room service when we need to eat, and the sign perpetually hanging from the door handle is clear for all to read: Do Not Disturb. (Though obviously you chose to ignore that simple instruction, so maybe that piece of cardboard isn’t as effective as it’s cracked up to be.) Soon we’ll have to move on again. The grace period seems to be five days. Any longer than that and we risk being picked up. The first place we went to we stayed for a week, and on the evening of the seventh day—ironic, I know—the big boss sent us a visitor in the guise of a pizza delivery boy. It got pretty ugly. I mean, I could all but feel the flames kissing the soles of my feet as we high-tailed it out of there.

21st Century Demon Excerpt

The waiter returns and sets two plates in front of us. The opulent dessert is simply oozing chocolate. Like most demons, I have a terrible sweet tooth and so I dig right in. I’m probably shovelling the cake down faster than would be deemed suitable for polite society. But to hell with that! Within seconds I’m scraping the last vestiges onto my cake fork and licking hard to clean off every last morsel.

I can feel Tom’s gaze on me so I make the most of it and elaborate the movement. I work that fork in and out of my mouth like I can’t get enough, sucking hard. I conclude the display with a satisfied sigh; then I set the much-abused item of cutlery back on the plate.

When I glance up, Tom is stock still. He was obviously about to take a bite when I began my show because his fork has come to a halt about an inch away from his mouth. His elbow is locked in place, and his (frankly quite perfect) lips are parted, jaw frozen open.

Who’d have ever guessed it would come to this? Well, you were there that day; you know what I mean. It was supposed to be a simple mark, a deal no different from any other. When I singled him out, I planned on getting a signature for his soul, making good on my end of the bargain, and then moving swiftly along. How was I to know the strange effect that beautiful, innocent nerd in the Marvel T-shirt was going to have on me?
The story of the demon Saul and mortal Tom beginning with Souls For Sale and ending with 21st Century Demon, is one of the most interesting stories I've ever read. Told in the first person vernacular by the two main characters and the supporting character, the story is totally what I had not expected. You'll have to read the stories to find out what I mean by that. It's an excellent read, and quite compelling and you find your self rooting for Saul and Tom as they face a situation that could very well cost time their lives.

Would I read these two books again? Absolutely! Would I recommend them? Without a moment's hesitation.

On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 5 and place it on the absolutely must read list.

Wednesday briefs - Evans Woodworking chapter 26

Chapter 26 of my new Wednesday Brief's story is now on line. You can read it by clicking here.

If you have just come across my blog and would like to read the entire story, you can click here to get to the Wednesday briefs page.

Here is a sneak peek at what you'll find in chapter 26:

Ethan simply stated that he really needed to talk to Chris, somewhere private. While Chris was in the shower, Ethan pondered what to tell him and how to tell him without sounding like he’d gone crazy.
After about a half hour the two men were sitting in their living room each with a beer in hand saying facing each other; a curious expression on Chris’s face.

“I was looking over this roll-top desk I’m restoring and when I turned around to look at the original pictures, a guy suddenly appeared right in front of me, right out of thin air.”

My review of Stars Fall by Louis J. Harris

Is is possible for a novel to be both heartbreaking and heartwarming? To find out the answer to this question read Stars Fall.

Stars Fall is a compelling story of one athlete's strive to realize his dreams while faced with adversity.

This is the story of bilateral amputee Keegan Mansfield.

His story is incredibly well written, written with compassion and feeling. Even able-bodied readers can identify with Keegan feel the joy of his triumphs and his pain at betrayal.

Would I have Keegan's courage? I don't know. I would like to think I would, but I just don't know.

Keegan is a very complex, intense, driven character full of determination. While not quite as complex, the supporting characters are believable. Just looking at the cover art you can see his determination in his eyes.

The story itself is, as I said, compelling. I read the entire novel in one sitting, only taking bathroom and meal breaks.

Not being able to view an excerpt from Stars Fall, I have to admit I had some trepidation as I've bought several books without reading an excerpt and disliked them. However, the blurb intrigued me so I took a chance and bought the book. I'm very glad I did. Stars Fall is an incredible book.

If you only buy one book this year, you must buy Stars Fall. On a scale of 1 to 5 I gladly give it a 5.

New from Kindle Alexander: Full Domain (book 3 in The Nice Guys series)

Title: Full Domain
Series: Nice Guys Novel #3
Author: Kindle Alexander
Genre: M/M Romance
Release Date: January 12, 2016
Honor, integrity, and loyalty are how Deputy US Marshal Kreed Sinacola lives his life. A former SEAL now employed by the Special Operations Group of the US Marshal Service, Kreed spent most of his life working covert operations and avoiding relationships. Never one to mix business with pleasure, his boundaries blur and his convictions are put to the test when he finally comes face-to-face with the hot computer geek he’s been partnered with. Hell-bent on closing the ongoing case for his longtime friend, he pushes past his own limits and uncovers more than he expects.
Aaron Stuart strives for one thing: justice. Young and full of idealism, his highly sought after computer skills land him a position with the National Security Agency. Aaron’s biggest hazard at his job is cramped fingers, but all that changes when he is drawn into the middle of a dangerous federal investigation. Aaron gets more than he bargained for when the FBI partners him with a handsome and tempting deputy US marshal. His attraction to the inked up, dark-haired man provides another kind of threat altogether. Aaron tries desperately to place a firewall around his heart and fight his developing feelings, knowing one misstep on his part could ultimately destroy him.
The solution isn’t as easy as solving the case, which is treacherous enough as it is. But the growing sexual attraction between them threatens to derail more than just Kreed’s personal convictions as he quickly learns temptation and matters of the heart rarely fit easily into the rules he’s lived by. Will Kreed be able to convince Aaron to open his heart and face the fact that sometimes the answers aren’t always hidden in code?

“You’re so fucking sexy with those fuck-me-I’m-so-smart glasses on and that intense look on your face.” Aaron glanced up and narrowed his eyes as he shoved the glasses off to the top of his head and stretched out his back. There was just something about the big, gorgeous deputy marshal growling those words at him that made his dick want to come out and play. A tired yawn from hours of sitting behind his laptop slipped free as he rubbed his eyes. “And those noises you make are a complete turn-on.” “I have a feeling it doesn’t take much to turn you on. A slight gust of wind would probably have you at full mast,” Aaron teased, lowering the lid to his laptop.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.

It just gets better and better. Reading the Nice Guys series is like watching a 3-part miniseries on TV.

It starts with Double Full, continues with Full Disclosure, and ends with Full Domain.

I don’t really have the words to describe the power behind the words in this novel. Readers have no choice but to be pulled into the story. It’s just that good.
The characters have become more and more complex as the series continues. The plot brings to end the story arc set forth in Double Full and continued in Full Disclosure. The awesome thing is that you don’t have to read Double Full and Full Disclosure in order to understand what’s happening in Full Domain, however by doing so, readers will get a much richer story.

There are some plot twists that readers most likely will never see coming.
The Nice Guys series is not just an awesome love story, but an exceptional mystery as well. I’m saddened by the fact that this is the last book in the Nice Guys series, but I’m reliably informed that the characters I’ve come to love will appear in the future. Perhaps a series about what happens at the very end of Full Domain?

I wish I could give it higher than a five because of the brilliant and enticing writing of Ms. Alexander. I’d give it a 100. Unfortunately I’ll have to settle for a 5.

The entire series needs to be put on everyone’s absolutely must read list.
